Lather Up to Stand at Diamond Creek Farm in 2020

Wednesday, October 30, 2019

Diamond Creek Farm, Taylor Made Stallions, and partners announce that 2-time world champion Lather Up has been retired and will stand stud duty at Diamond Creek Farm’s new facility in Davenport, New York.

Lather Up is the horse that the Daily Racing Form described as “the fastest horse in harness racing history” when he equaled Always B Miki’s world-record time for the mile in 1:46 flat at the Meadowlands in the $250,000 Graduate final for 4-year-old male pacers. He also established the world-record for 1 1/8 mile in 1:59 2/5 after an internal fraction for the mile in 1:46 3/5, also at the Meadowlands. In all, Lather Up set six track-records at ages 2, 3, and 4.

Lather Up’s many track record performances are impressive and unmatched. He has beaten millionaires like of McWicked, Jimmy Freight, Courty Choice, and others. He has established himself as a dominant force on the track. Diamond Creek is excited to have him stand stud at their Davenport farm.
