Diamond Creek Farm is excited to hold the fifth annual Open House at the Pennsylvania Farm on June 4.
The Open House technically started in 2015 with a casual open day for the local community, but this will be the fifth year for it in the current format.
The day is an opportunity for anyone, industry or not, to come out and enjoy a day at the farm. There will be chances to meet mares and foals, hay rides, games, and opportunities to learn more about both harness racing and horses in general.
A big addition to the Open House this year is the inclusion of a “Stallion Showcase,” where the stallions will be paraded for the visitors. Everything is very hands on, and the staff is always available to answer any and all questions.
We will have food trucks this year, featuring local trucks Mad Dash Grilled Cheese and Dough Heads, along with the returning fan favorite Bootlleg Creamery. There will also be a bar serving wine and beer for those over 21.
Vendors will include the Penn State Extension Equine Team and HHYF, among others. There will be raffle baskets with proceeds going to HHYF.
The Open House will be held on June 4 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Address is 151 Warrington St., Wellsville, PA 17365. There is no cost to attend, no pets please.
More information can be found on the Diamond Creek Facebook page.
